MARYVILLE, Mo. — The uproar continues after a clown wearing a President Obama mask made an appearance during the bull riding event at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia nearly a week ago. This weekend in Maryville, Mo., supporters of that clown were expected to make an appearance.
Tuffy Gessling is the clown who put the President Obama skit together at last Saturday’s rodeo. He has since been banned by the Missouri State Fair Commission from ever participating again.
But while some condemn Gessling’s actions, others are showing support.
“Everybody’s come together and they’re standing behind Tuffy,” said Brandon McLagan, rodeo announcer. “I’ve known him for 15 years, and I’m proud to call him my friend.”
